MCS is exhibiting home-grown energy at InstallerSHOW 2023
20th April 2023
MCS is attending InstallerSHOW 2023 at Birmingham’s NEC 27-29 June.
Join us on stand E180 to discuss becoming MCS certified to install low-carbon heating and energy systems in UK homes. We can also offer insight on the Government incentive schemes that MCS certification allows you to access, including the Smart Export Guarantee and the recently extended Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
Talk to us about the benefits of home-grown energy for your consumers and the difference that becoming MCS certified can make for your business. With our friendly and knowledgeable team on stand for all three days, we will be there to answer any questions you might have during the busy show.
We are also collaborating with Solar Energy UK on Solar Innovations on the adjacent stand D160. For the first time, this area will provide InstallerSHOW attendees with interactive demo session to increase their knowledge of solar technologies, battery storage systems, inverters and upskilling opportunities.
The power of MCS data
MCS has recorded every certified small-scale renewable installation in the UK since the scheme began in 2008.
Last year, we made our full installations and contractor data available publicly and completely free for the first time.
Our new tool the MCS Data Dashboard provides data visualisations to paint a dynamic picture of the uptake and distribution of small-scale renewable installations in the UK. It is an engaging way to monitor the current uptake of small-scale renewables in near-real-time, highlight current or past trends, and identify opportunities for sector growth.
We will be demonstrating the MCS Data Dashboard on stand and you can come along to trial it for yourself and find out how you can use it to reveal data that is most useful to you and your business.
Industry-leading low-carbon insights
Several of the MCS team will be speaking on panels with key industry leaders to share insights and experience across low-carbon heating and energy.
See Lucy McKenzie, our Technical Officer speak on Tuesday 27 June at 11am in the Elemental Theatre. She will join a panel discussing The case for mandatory solar to share the benefits of adding solar to new –build homes and how to meet the challenges including supply chains, grid connections, energy storage and upskilling the green workforce.
Lucy will be joined by Dr David Toke, Director of 100% Renewable UK. Other panellists joining Lucy and David to be announced soon.
Then, on Thursday 29 June, you can catch Alex Hughes, our Scheme Manager, in the InstallerPLAZA at 12pm discussing the Electrification of heat alongside an expert panel. As the UK moves to smarter, electrified homes, the panel will share how we integrate heat with renewable energy technologies and make our housing stock fit for the future.
